What kind of insurance does Weichert Insurance Agency provide?

Weichert Insurance Agency, Inc. has a number of insurance specialties. Primary, we are in the personal insurance business, providing a wide array of insurance products for individuals including homeowners, automobile, valuable articles, excess/umbrella, watercraft, motorcycle, flood and term life insurance.

What other specialty lines of insurance does the agency provide?

Weichert Insurance Agency has a number of insurance programs for specific types of clients. Our Realtors Errors & Omissions program is one of our most popular insurance specialties offered by the firm. All Weichert franchisees qualify for this unique program that offers very broad coverage at an attractive annual premium.

The exclusive Weichert Vacant Home Program is another example of a specialty insurance program offered by WIA that gives the client an exceptional insurance product at a very competitive price.

What about life insurance?

Weichert is not an investment advisory or financial planning brokerage, although we do have relationships with several firms who are investment and wealth management specialists. We sell term life insurance almost exclusively and we refer our clients to others when their needs go beyond our in-house expertise.

What's so special about Weichert Insurance Agency and why do your clients place their insurance with your firm?

Many clients come to us based on the Weichert brand and the expectation of service that comes along with it. However, clients stay with us because we deliver a level of service that goes beyond the home purchase closing transaction. We have the products, the people and the processes in place to make sure our clients get what they need, when they need it and at a price to fit their budget. Since we work with so many different insurance companies, we do the comparison shopping for the client that saves them time, money and the frustration of going from place to place to find the right insurance solutions.

We also pride ourselves on making sure our service levels are high which translates into a higher rate of client retention.

Everyone talks about delivering high quality service. What separates Weichert Insurance Agency from your competitors?

We have spent a considerable amount of time and money hiring and training some of the very best insurance professionals in the industry. We also invest heavily in the kind of technology that allows our Account Managers to spend more time talking to clients about their insurance needs, both today and for the future. When you spend the time to listen to your clients, you have a greater opportunity to help them with their needs. Once we understand the needs, then our brokerage skills can be deployed to find the best solutions.

How does Weichert Insurance Agency handle a client with multiple homes and cars?

Whenever possible, we attempt to build an insurance program with one insurance carrier even if that involves homes and cars in more than one state. Doing so allows the client to build a strong relationship with the insurance company and it also affords the client an opportunity to maximize premium discounts through a "package policy" strategy. However, in some cases multiple carriers are required in order to secure the right coverage at the best available cost.

Because we are a national insurance brokerage firm, we have a competitive advantage over the small local broker. We can offer products for clients that other insurance agencies cannot handle, either because of licensing issues or simply a lack of local expertise in multiple jurisdictions.

Are you saying that Weichert can handle any personal insurance need in any state?

Yes, that's exactly what we can do.

What about difficult insurance problems like homes at the beach, investment properties in Florida or automobile insurance for people with poor driving records or youthful drivers.

We make a very simple commitment to our clients and prospective clients that we will manage their entire insurance portfolio, regardless of where the risk is located or how challenging it may be to find the right coverage. Whether it's an auto policy with a poor claims history or it's a house on the coast that the standard markets won't insure, we are in the solution and service business and we take that commitment very seriously.

As for Florida, we have a team situated in the state of Florida with the products and the capacity to handle unique insurance needs in a very challenging marketplace.

How do you work with other Weichert companies? Do have an exclusive relationship with them?

We are very privileged to have a close working relationship with a number of our sister companies. Many of our processes center on helping clients when buying or selling their homes. We have an exceptional program in place for clients who work closely with our relocation company because we provide insurance solutions in all US states.

However, a large portion of our clients come to us through non-Weichert referral sources. Banks, financial planners, outside mortgage brokers, attorneys, accountants and even other real estate agents refer their clients to us because of the value we bring to their relationship with their clients. All client information is kept in the strictest confidence as is the information we receive from those who refer their clients to us. We have never experienced a conflict of interest between a Weichert company and those who trust us with their clients who are not members of the Weichert family of companies.

As for exclusivity, we have to earn the trust and confidence we receive from everyone who introduces us to their clients, whether they work for a Weichert company or not. If we do have exclusive relationships within Weichert they exist because of what we do for their clients, not because of the name on our door.
